Mourning the Death of Handwriting
Spinning into Butter (Winner of a Sundance Film Festival Award)
Actors: Sarah Jessica Parker, Beau Bridges, Miranda Richardson & Mykelti Williamson Subject: New college Dean of Students, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker, is forced to examine her own feelings about race and maintaining order on campus when a hate crime takes place. This is a compelling movie that examines the emotional fallout of prejudice within the cloistered walls of academia. I highly recommend viewing of this movie for yourself or professional development for staff as we continue moving towards courageous action from courageous talk. It can be rented through Blockbuster. Rated-R for language
